Being a new comer to the city, I’m always curious of what the city has to offer. That’s also one of the reasons to take this course-to explore and to learn more about the fascinating city of Toronto.
Coming from China then spent 2 years in the east coast and another 2 years in Peterborough, the city of Toronto does not mean a lot to me rather than the name and the mysteries I had.
My love and interests of the city start from a sports organization- Toronto Raptors. Being a sports fan I always follow local teams wherever I go, so Raptors did offer me my first bond with the city.
Now I actually move into the city as a student at U of T, I began to develop more bonds and love with the city. The city of Toronto just has so much to offer: the food, the buildings, the beautiful sunsets and the city’s unique rhythm. While there are beautiful things happening in the city, there are also some issues which I encountered like the weather, TTC services and some public issues like homeless people in the streets. And I would like to address some of them in my on-going blogs for this course.
